2 Caught Burglarizing Home In North Haven: Police

A resident called police to report that a person was trying to break into their home, according to officials.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two New Haven residents were caught burglarizing a home in North Haven on Friday, according to police.

A resident in the 100 block of Sackett Point Road called police and said they believed a person was trying to break into their home, according to officials.

An officer who was working an extra-duty assignment nearby, responded almost immediately and found Phillip Santelle and Emeline Harvey at the scene, according to police. They were both detained and arrested.

Santelle, 33, was charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of narcotics.

Harvey, 39, was charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
