Abandoned Cats Available For Adoption In North Haven

The cats will be adopted together because officials said they have already been "through so much together."

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two cats who were recently abandoned in the driveway of the North Haven Animal Control are now available for adoption, according to officials.

“Mary Kate (Dark Tiger) and Ashley (Light Tiger) were abandoned in our driveway about two weeks ago,” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “We took them to the vet and started treating an eye issue both had going on. They went for a recheck yesterday and got cleared for adoption. Ashley's left eye is not causing her any discomfort at this point but in the future may need to be removed if it does start to bother her. She also has an ulcer on her right eye that will always be there. Mary Kate has a small ulcer on her left eye. We are adopting them together as they have been through so much together already. Due to their eye issues they will have to be indoor only cats. Both are super friendly and loving.”
