The North Haven Historical Society and the Daytime Gardeners are collaborating on a new event. A Farm to Table Dinner will be held August 14th, 2019 from 5:15 pm -7:30 pm at the Brockett Farm at 93 Arrowdale Road, North Haven. The Daytime Gardeners will contribute table centerpieces using flowers from their gardens and will assist with a variety of the preparations for the dinner. The Historical Society members will also contribute to the activity, assisting in various capacities to assure everything is ready on time.
The dinner will be served family style, featuring fresh, organic fruits and vegetables from Frankie’s Organic Fruits and Vegetables Market on Hartford Turnpike. Pasture-raised beef is being donated by Frank Bumsted, also of North Haven. North Haven Beekeeper, Ray Sola, is contributing pure raw honey for the dinner.
Guests will also enjoy tours of the Brockett Farm Museum, Walt Brockett’s woodworking shop, the Christa Jo Glass studio, and a tractor display, all available on site at the dinner location.
