First Selectman Freda Announces New Citizen Alert System

The alert system will be used to communicate with citizens and businesses during emergencies and other critical events.

First Selectman Michael J. Freda announced today that the Town is implementing a new North Haven Citizen Alert System to communicate with citizens and businesses during emergencies and other critical events. The North Haven Citizen Alert System is provided through Everbridge, a company specializing in mass communication services for government organizations, to keep residents safe and informed with fast and reliable emergency notifications and public service announcements.

“To uphold our responsibility to ensure public safety, community awareness and emergency response, we need to reach our residents as quickly and reliably as possible,” stated Michael Freda. “This new alert system allows the Town of North Haven to broadcast information across all types of devices, ensuring our residents have access to real-time public information when it is most needed.”

This is a new system. You cannot log into it without creating new account. Residents and businesses may sign up for the Citizen Alert System by going to the Town’s website at: www.northhaven-ct.gov and adding their contact and location information into the system. All information provided will be kept strictly confidential and will not be used for any other purposes.
