“Dear Dave Greco, thank you for your message. I would be happy to provide an update regarding this subject. We will not be removing School Resource Officers from our schools. In fact, I have added an additional school resource officer this coming school year and that SRO will be added to our high school. Our school resource officers are funded locally and they are part of our police department budget supported by me and members of our Police Commission. As we move forward, I will continue to support our Police Department and our SRO'S in our school system. I will also be supporting our North Haven Police Department overall with additional funding in our next budget cycle to ensure that our PD has all of the resources that they need to ensure the safety of all of our citizens. Sincerely, Michael Freda.”
