Intensive Outpatient Program at Shoreline Family Health Care
Our high school Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) focuses on adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18.

Shoreline Family Health Care in Branford now offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents. Our high school IOP focuses on adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18 who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral issues, family conflicts and school-related difficulties. The group meets two to three times a week after school. Currently, the program is operating virtually until it is safe to return to in-person meetings.
The IOP program can help adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, threats of self-harm, outbursts of anger or aggression, trauma, truancy, substance use, problems with the law, threats to run away or inability to cope with problems and daily activities
Program goals include short term stabilization, improving emotional and behavioral functioning and enhanced family relationships. In addition to group meetings, adolescents and their families will receive individual support from their clinician, and have the opportunity to meet with a psychiatrist and receive medication if appropriate.
