Man Accused Of Assaulting, Threatening Victim: North Haven Police
The man, who was also charged with violating a protective order, was arrested on a warrant, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven man is accused of assaulting and threatening a person earlier this month, according to police.
North Haven police responded to the area of Kimberly Circle on Oct. 5 on the report of an assault. The victim told police they were assaulted and threatened by Peter Depino, according to officials. The victim said he had recent contact with Depino and noticed later that evening that his moped was missing from his garage, according to police.
Police said the victim then found his moped near an area known to be frequented by Depino. He found Depino and asked him where his moped was.

At that point, the victim said Depino punched him in the head and threatened to stab him with a knife, according to police. Depino then left the area.
Depino, 25, was arrested on a warrant Monday and charged with first-degree threatening and third-degree assault.

Also, while officers were serving the arrest warrant, Depino was found at a residence where a person protected by a protective order against Depino was present, police said.
Depino was additionally charged with violation of a protective order, third-degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. He was arraigned at Meriden Superior Court on Tuesday morning.
