Nancy [Vergara] Barrett, a 25-year resident of North Haven, is running for a position on the North Haven Board of Finance. Nancy's education, business experience and quantitative skill set would serve the town well. A Princeton University undergraduate degree in neuroscience, combined with a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Northwestern University, distinguish Nancy's educational qualifications.

During her 30-year career in healthcare management, Nancy has worked in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries and has run her own healthcare consulting firm. Her consulting clients include hospitals, corporations, universities and the federal government. She facilitates data-driven decision making, implementation and quality measurement.

Nancy gives back to her community in a variety of ways. She was a founding member of the North Haven Team for Education, which advocated for strategic budget investments in education. She was also an active PTA member and Ridge Road School classroom volunteer. She had the honor of caring for patients as a hospice volunteer at both CT Hospice and Masonicare. She is currently a contributing member of the Quinnipiack Valley Health District Community Health Coalition (serving the towns of Bethany, Hamden, North Haven and Woodbridge), charged with designing a Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan. In addition, Nancy is a member of The Mayflower Society of North Haven CT, as well as the Friends of North Haven Library. She has coached youth sports and directly supported school theater and music programs.
