ModivCare Donates Transit ZipTrip Bus Passes and Tokens
A Local New Haven Nonprofit Will Help Those Experiencing Homelessness Gain Access to Transportation
ModivCare Inc. (“ModivCare” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: MODV), a technology-enabled healthcare services company that provides a suite of integrated supportive care solutions focused on improving patient outcomes, has donated Greater Bridgeport Transit (GBT) ZipTrip bus passes and tokens to local nonprofit Helping Others Mend Souls, Inc. (HOMS), based in New Haven, to help those experiencing homelessness gain access to transportation.
“Volunteers go into communities in and around New Haven to feed and provide clothing to those experiencing homelessness,” explained Jennie Williams, founder of Helping Others Mend Souls, Inc. “We also provide food for shelters in need and assist those experiencing homelessness by connecting them to essential services, including transportation – that is why we are so grateful for this generous donation from ModivCare.”
With a goal of helping even more individuals in need in 2021, HOMS will be expanding its services to West Haven and Bridgeport.
