New Boys’ Lacrosse Coach Hired In North Haven

The coach was a standout player and captain at Sacred Heart University.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Peter Greco has been named the new head coach of the North Haven High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team, officials announced this week. Greco is entering his 13th year of coaching boys’ lacrosse at both the high school and college level.

Greco is a graduate and four-year lacrosse player and captain from Sacred Heart University, where he also was named to the All-Colonial Conference Team for attack. In addition to his success at Sacred Heart University, Greco was named All-New England while attending Canterbury School and All-American while a student at St. Francis High School in upstate New York, according to officials.

Greco comes to North Haven after being the head coach for six years at Amistad High School in New Haven.

“Coach Greco brings a solid understanding of lacrosse as both a player and as a coach to the North Haven Boys’ Lacrosse program,” North Haven Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal said. “His energy and enthusiasm will be very effective when he gets on the field this spring. We are excited to have Coach Greco get started.”
