NORTH HAVEN, CT — The Landing of North Haven, the town’s first Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, will celebrate its grand-opening on Thursday, Dec. 12. The Landing offers 124 apartments – 87 are assisted living and 37 are memory care, according to officials.

The grand-opening festivities will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 201 Clintonville Road in North Haven. First Selectman Mike Freda will cut the ribbon at 4:30 p.m. The festivities will include a live band that will perform an eclectic mix of music including jazz, Big Band, and favorites from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There will also be food, beer, wine, and a champagne toast.

“North Haven is such a tight-knit community,” General Manager Eric Piekarz said. “We are finding that some of our residents are reconnecting with their high school friends or that they know each other's relatives. It’s exciting to see the connections being made.”

The Landing at North Haven will offer a wide range of amenities and many signature programs, including:

  • Full-service restaurant from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Café/Bistro that offers meal alternatives, happy hours and features self-serve ice cream freezer
  • Game room
  • Full serve salon and barber shop for men and women

When The Landing is full it will employ 75-80 people fulltime along with supplemental staff.

“We are proud of hiring the right people for The Landing,” Piekarz said. “It’s important to us and Leisure Care that we hire the best person for the job, not the resume to get the right caliber of individual. What differentiates us is our focus on hospitality and our three-thirds lifestyle of putting family first, giving back to the community second and meaningfully contributing to your work environment.”
