North Haven Animal Shelter To Host Re-Opening Event: Report

The Animal Haven's ceremony is slated for Thursday morning.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The Animal Haven in North Haven, a no-kill animal shelter that had been closed for renovations since September of last year, has re-opened and will host a ceremony to celebrate at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, reports the New Haven Register.

The renovations included a new wing on the Mill Road facility and a new HVAC system to better move air through the building, which helps keep the dogs and cats more comfortable.

Other improvements in the project, which cost a total of about $480,000, included the addition of a commercial-grade washer and dryer, an expanded kitchen and an expanded medical examination room.
