NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven High School Hockey seniors (pictured from left to right): Danny Godlewski, Alex Kirtland, Simon Brubacher, Sean Quinn, Ian Crowther, and Aidan Lillis recently received scholarships from the Craig M. Hillo Memorial Sports Scholarship Fund.

In the foreground are Joan and Carmine Hillo, whose son Craig died in an auto accident on October 25, 2003 at the age of 19. Craig was a four-year member of the North Haven High School Varsity Ice Hockey Team.

The high school has retired Craig’s Jersey and number (2), which hangs at the Northford Ice rink where Craig worked, played and coached. In his honor, there is an annual scholarship to benefit one or more North Haven High School senior ice hockey players, both male and female, who will be continuing their education.
