North Haven Snowstorm Update: Trash Pickup Delayed
Officials update on the town's cleanup plans for the winter storm that is expected to drop a foot of snow in the area.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Trash and recycling collection in North Haven will be delayed by two hours on Tuesday due to the snowstorm, officials announced Monday.
“All morning long and this afternoon our 13 plow trucks have been out plowing and deicing the roads,” officials wrote in a storm update. “We are collaborating with state plows and vehicles to ensure all our roads are as safe as possible. Our plan is to continue plowing and deicing all afternoon and into the morning hours. Based on feedback from the national weather service we expect the storm to subside around midnight tonight. Because of that timing, there will be a 2-hour delay in Sanitation and Recyclable pickup tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and time.”
A parking ban remains in effect until 12 noon on Tuesday.
