Nutmeg Symphonic Pops Orchestra Patriotic Concert

JUNE 30th CONCERT PAYS TRIBUTE TO VETERANS, COUNTRY, FREEDOMS AND FLAG

Start off your 4th of July celebration on June 30th when the Nutmeg Symphonic Orchestra, soloists and chorale will pay tribute to our veterans, our country, our freedoms and our flag. This patriotic concert will be held at Gateway Community College in North Haven at 2 p.m. and will feature bass/baritone Dr. Eugene Ciccone, mezzo soprano Wendy Gerbier and soprano Kristen Gionfriddo, along with singers from the orchestra's chorale, all performing many well-loved musical selections. Durant McCurley on bagpipe will usher in our flag to begin the concert...which as always ends with the orchestra's signature message, "Let There Be Peace On Earth."

Other features of this concert will be a tribute to local veterans of World War II by Joseph Weber of the West Haven's Ward-Heitman House Museum in addition to an orchestral remembrance of the American Civil War with a reading of the Gettysburg Address.

No tickets are necessary and the concert is free, along with free parking and a handicap accessible ramp into the auditorium. This concert and all of Nutmeg's concerts are presented by the Four Havens Music Society, Inc., a 501C3 organization. The orchestra is in residence at Gateway Community College and is under the artistic direction of Dr. Dino F. Ciaburri.
