Obituary: Freddie Lee Thompson Jr., 71, of North Haven
Fred, remembered most for his kind heart and infectious smile, was a loving family man and devoted to his pup Cujae.

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home) It is with great sadness that we announce the homegoing of Freddie Lee Thompson Jr., of North Haven, CT.
Freddie (Fred) entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2021. Fred was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and man of faith.
He was born on September 14, 1949, to the late Freddie Lee Sr. and Luvina Blalock. Fred is predeceased by his sister Sheila Adjahoe and stepmother Joyce Thompson.

Fred will be forever loved and honored by his love of 27 years and wife of 15 years Betty Thompson of North Haven, CT, and brothers Gregory (Gloria) Thompson of West Haven, CT, and Jacques (Victoria) Thompson of Sunrise, FL.
He is also survived by his beloved children, son Freddie Lee (Lushanna) Thompson III of Hamden, CT, step-daughter Batreece Jett of Waterbury, CT, step-daughter Patrice (Calvin) Sheffield Jackson of Jessup, MD, and grandchildren Bernard Wright, QuiEssence Rock, Taniyah Thompson, Khalil Thompson, and Kennedi Jackson.

Family meant the world to Fred. He will also be remembered by his nieces Alis Adjahoe, Juanita Thompson-Ashburne, Carissa Thompson and nephews Alfred (Viola) Adjahoe, Gregory Thompson Jr., Justin Thompson, Shaun Thompson, cousins, god-children, extended family, and his 4-legged son Cujae.
Fred had a personality of gold who always went out of his way to please everybody. He never put himself first. He would always pass the phone just to have you acknowledge the person he was speaking to. He took pride in everything he did. He loved wearing his cologne and was always complimented on how good he smelled.
Fred was admired for his dedicated work ethic. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He was a valued employee at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Fleet Pride, Federal Express, Crest Auto Group, and Jaguar Land Rover North Haven.
Fred was well known and respected by customers and his co-workers. He always put his best effort into everything he did working over and beyond his duties. Fred also had a mind where he can remember every birthday and VIN numbers on every vehicle that he was assigned.
Fred will be remembered most for his kind heart and infectious smile.
Fred was so attached to his dog (Cujae). He would sometimes be teased about his love for his dog. Fred will truly be missed by family and friends, including his best friends Keith Jones, Joe Downey, and Ed Jackson and family.
A celebration of Fred's life and generous spirit will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Friends and extended family are welcome to attend a viewing between 10-11 am at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514.
