Obituary: Heng Sok, 78, of North Haven

Heng worked as an assembly person for many years and enjoyed cooking, gardening, nature and spending time with her family.

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Heng Sok, 78, of North Haven died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Kin Long.

Heng was born in Pursat Province, Cambodia on September 7, 1942. She came to the United States in 1985 and had resided in North Haven for the past five years.

Heng was an assembly person in several New Haven area manufacturing plants for more than twenty years, retiring in 2005.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, nature, and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Eng Kin and her husband Seok Thoeun of New Haven and Chann Kin of North Haven, three sons, Yoeun Kin and his wife Khamly and Py Kin of Conyers, GA, and Phey Kin of North Haven, and twelve grandchildren, Toeun, Tia, Chris, Erin, Bopah, Tyda, Sungha, Johnasson, Arina, Mary, Kanha and Dara.

She was predeceased by her son Meas Kin. Funeral services for Heng are private and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
