Obituary: Michael Landino, 73, formerly of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From North Haven Funeral Home) Michael Landino, 73, of Hilton Head, SC, formerly of North Haven, CT and Chagrin Falls, OH passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2021 at the Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia after a long illness.

He was the beloved husband of Alessandra Landino. Michael was born in New Haven on March 27, 1947 and was the son of the late Michael and Nancy Musto Landino.

A graduate of North Haven High School, he later joined the US Navy and served his country faithfully during the Vietnam war.

Michael was the owner of Transport Insurance, Cleveland, OH for many years until his retirement. He was an avid fly fisherman, and in his youth was very athletic and in 2008 was inducted to the North Haven Sports Hall of Fame.

Besides his wife he leaves a sister, Camille Annunziato, nephews Angelo (Deanne) Annunziato and Michael (Christina) Annunziato, great grandnieces Maia, Sophia, Talia and Isabella. Predeceased by his first wife Janet Landino, and his brother-in-law Frank Annunziato.

Due to the present Covid pandemic, services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA Voluntary Services at the VAMC, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516.
