Obituary: Peter Acampora, 68, formerly of North Haven
Peter, a passionate taxidermist and sculptor, served as the Director of Maintenance at a healthcare facility in Connecticut for many years.

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From North Haven Funeral Home) Peter Acampora, 68, of Crossville, TN, formerly of North Haven and Wallingford, passed away in Tennessee on Saturday, February 20, 2021 with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Josephine Parisi Acampora for 32 years. Peter was born in New Haven on January 15, 1953 and was the son of the late Gregory and Dorothy Gabucci Acampora.
Peter was the Director of Maintenance at a healthcare facility in Connecticut for many years before returning to his first loves and passion taxidermy and sculpting.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of the New Haven Racoon Club.
Peter had a good sense of humor, was a real jokester and loved the life he had in Tennessee.

Father of Jody (John) Rowley. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Spencer and Parker Rowley. Brother of Gregory (Marie) Acampora and Patricia Acampora. Also survived by a niece and nephew, Amanda and Brian Acampora.
Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven.
The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue have been entrusted with the arrangements.
