Obituary: Richard Najarian, 81, of North Haven
Richard, loving husband and avid bowler, served as an elementary school teacher for 32 years in the Cheshire School System.

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From North Haven Funeral Home) Richard Najarian, 81, of North Haven, born May 28, 1939, passed on to eternity on Feb. 25, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Maureen Najarian.
The son of the late Dikran and Eskineg Najarian, brother of Dorothy Miller and her husband Charles; Jon Najarian and his wife Regina. The brother-in-law of Rosanne Raccio (Peter pre-deceased); Kathleen and Richard Pippin; Veronica and Constantine Souris; David Brennan (pre-deceased); Vincent and Joan Brennan (pre-deceased) and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was a graduate of Hillhouse High School (Class of 1957), Quinnipiac University, Southern Connecticut State University and the University of Bridgeport where he received his Master’s Degree.
Richard was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. He retired from the Cheshire School System after 26 years of service in 1996 and substituted in the East Haven and West Haven School Systems for 13 years.

During his life he loved bowling and enjoyed the bowlers he bowled with.
He was a member of the Knights of Vartan an Armenian charitable organization, and an active member of The Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension.
Richard had two rare gifts… common sense and a sense of humor. He loved his wife, honored his God, and cherished his family and friends. He will be missed.
