Obituary: Therese Lyden Asman, 93, of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Therese Lyden Asman, 93, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Carl J. Asman. Survived by her sons, Carl (Lori Harrison) Asman, Mark Asman and Matthew (Jennifer) Asman, daughters Christine Demir and Anne (Timothy) Daley, Grandchildren Allison (Josh) Miller, Carl (Amanda), Summer and Luke Asman, Lily and Naia Daley.

Also survived by eight great grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews.

Therese was lovingly and tirelessly cared for by Isatou and Denise, who will forever be a part of our family and our hearts.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by brothers John and Thomas Lyden, sisters Ann and Rita Lyden, Mary Jordan, Margaret Malwitz and Nora Brooks and son in law Ramsey Demir and daughter in law Kathryn Asman.

Therese was born Sept. 3, 1927 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Thomas and Johanna Fitzgerald Lyden.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Albertus Magnus College, and owned and operated A and B Travel Agency for many years.

Above all she was a beloved and devoted Mother and adoring, cherished grandmother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Divine Mercy Parrish, Church of St. Rita, Hamden. Burial will be private.

A memorial for family and friends to celebrate Therese's life will be held this summer. Arrangements are with Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
