Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Sunday in North Haven, according to officials.

The pedestrian was struck in the area of the 300 block of Washington Avenue, according to fire officials. North Haven fire and police crews were at the scene around 7:4o p.m. Amtrak reported the incident to North Haven officials.

The person was found dead at the scene, according to officials.

“The incident is under investigation by Amtrak police and local officials,” the North Haven Fire Department wrote in a post on Facebook. “Rail service is expected to be delayed for the next several hours. Additional details will be released as they become available.”
