Popular New Haven Restaurant Taking Over Leon's North Haven Site

NORTH HAVEN, CT - Fans of good Italian food, we have some great news for you. One of the popular Italian restaurants in New Haven - Adriana's - is slated to open a North Haven restaurant at the old Leon's location on Washington Avenue.

Adriana's is located on Grand Avenue in New Haven. Come this fall, they'll also be at the old Leon's site.

North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda confirmed the news to Patch.

Freda said: "They (Adriana's) are working on the inside to renovate the old interior of Leon's and we are hopeful that they will open in the fall."

Freda said the Adriana's project is one "that I personally have been working on for two years."

Adriana’s has earned high marks in reviews on both Facebook and Yelp. The restaurant received a 4.4 out of 5 rating from more than 300 reviews on Facebook and earned four stars from Yelp reviewers. Several reviewers noted the restaurants large portion sizes.

“Absolutely, positively, amazing and one of the best restaurants in CT! WOW!,” one reviewer wrote on Facebook. “We randomly found Adriana’s while googling and oh my goodness it is my new favorite place! The food was as good as the food I had in Italy, I have never had food out this good in this country, EVER! I highly recommend this place and even though we live somewhat far, we are so going back soon.”
