Radio 104.1 To Change Its Name For A Day In Honor of North Haven Boy Battling Brain Cancer
The station will broadcast from North Haven on Tuesday morning to help raise funds for 9-year-old Anthony Longley.

WMRQ Radio FM 104.1 will be known as Anthony FM on Tuesday, Aug. 25 in honor of North Haven’s Anthony Longley, 9, who is battling an incurable brain tumor.
The Hartford Courant reports morning host David Fisch came up with the idea and will broadcast his show (Fisch in the Morning) at the North Haven Town Green on Tuesday morning where they are hoping to raise funds for the Longley family.
Anthony will be there from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. where you can meet him (and donate). He will be joined by First Selectman Michael Freda, members of the North Haven High School football team and former pro wrestler Bob Backlund, according to the Courant.

A GoFundMe account has also been launched to help with the fundraising. According to the page, since 2009, “Anthony has undergone 5 major brain surgeries, a shunt placement, g-tube, tracheostomy, feeding tube and many other numerous procedures. Although there is no ‘cure’ for this type of cancer, Anthony fights his battle with a smile from ear to ear.”
Anthony has been receiving treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital and is currently undergoing his second round of radiation treatment and will be done at the end of the month, according to the page.
