Rescue Dog Saves North Haven Woman’s Life: Report
A North Haven woman says she's alive today thanks to her dog, who she rescued from a shelter four years ago.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven woman says she’s alive today thanks to her dog, who she rescued from a shelter four years ago, according to WTNH News 8.
Jennifer Keane told WTNH that she was working on her computer at home in June and started to get a headache and eventually felt almost like she was paralyzed and became exhausted. Her dog, Onyx, wouldn’t let her fall asleep and started to bark, a “ferocious bark,” that was out of the ordinary, according to Keane.
Keane got up and called 911 and a CAT scan revealed that she had a ruptured aneurysm and underwent emergency surgery, according to WTNH. Her doctor said that a third of all patients with Keane’s condition don’t survive.
