Springtime Drive-Through Event Set For The Landing Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (Contributed article): The Landing of North Haven will play host to one more drive through event this weekend.

The Leisure Care community is partnering with event coordinator, Jill DeChello, to present Spring Fantasy: A Drive Through Springtime Celebration. Residents of the senior living community and families of North Haven and the surrounding areas are invited to visit on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The drive through display will feature a Springtime “explosion” of bubbles, flowers, fairies, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, an oversized vegetable garden and more.

"Safety is our town’s first priority,” DeChello said. “The drive through offers everyone a safe way to enjoy the celebration.”

The drive through will benefit the North Haven Rotary Club to support the Rotary Scholarship program and grant initiatives. The suggested donation is $10 per car and no reservations are required.

“It’s so rewarding to bring these events to the community,” said Donna Naparstek, Sales & Marketing Manager for The Landing. “Not only do our residents, their families, our business partners and the community at large share in the fun and joy of participating, but the proceeds go directly back to the local community and benefit so many people.”

The Landing of North Haven has played host to several drive through events during the pandemic. Naparstek said they have helped raise spirits at the senior living community during the pandemic.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to May 8.
