Woman Accused Of Shoplifting At Target: North Haven Police

The woman, who has a history of arrests, also had an outstanding warrant for robbery out of Westport, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven woman is accused of stealing baby formula from Target in North Haven on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Police responded to Target at 200 Universal Dr. around 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 8 on the report of a shoplifting. Police found a woman matching the suspect’s description, according to officials.

Amy Kiernan, 42, was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for robbery out of Westport, according to police.

Kiernan is also accused of shoplifting at Target in North Haven in September. During that incident, she was accused of “intentionally coughing and spitting toward officers, saying she has COVID," police said at the time.

She has yet to enter a plea in that case with the next court date scheduled for Feb. 16, according to state judicial records.
