Woman Fraudulently Tried To Buy $789K House: North Haven Police
The woman is accused of trying to fraudulently buy a $789,000 house in North Haven, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A woman faces a forgery charge in connection with fraudulently trying to buy a $789,000 house in North Haven earlier this year, according to police.
A local mortgage company contacted North Haven police in July to report the suspected fraudulent activity, according to officials. A detective worked with the compliance officer and a local bank and executed a search warrant for bank documents to establish probable cause, officials said.
Teresa Fripp, 47, of North Haven, was arrested and charged with second-degree forgery. She was released on a written promise to appear in court, according to police.
