Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In North Haven: Police
The victim was robbed as she arrived to work and the gunman fired a shot while leaving the scene, shattering her car's window, police said.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A woman was robbed at gunpoint while arriving to work early Monday morning in North Haven, according to police. The gunman fired a shot while leaving the scene and shattered the back windshield of the victim’s vehicle, police said.
Police responded to a report of a street robbery around 7:15 a.m. at 355 Sackett Point Rd. The woman arrived for work and was approached by a young man in the lot who brandished a gun and demanded her belongings.
The victim said she didn’t have anything and the suspect got back into a white SUV and left heading west on Sackett Point Road, according to police.

Police said the suspect fired one round at the victim and shattered her vehicle’s rear window.
In an update Monday morning, police said investigators are confident that the shot was fired from a BB gun, which was supported by evidence recovered at the scene.

Police also said the suspected vehicle, which is linked to robberies/carjackings in Hamden, New Haven and North Haven on Monday morning, was found unoccupied in New Haven.
The victim wasn't injured in the North Haven robbery, according to police.
