2017 Thanksgiving, Black Friday Mall Hours Near Norwich

The retail apocalypse may soon be coming, but that won't stop shoppers from waking up for early doorbuster deals on Black Friday. With bellies full of turkey and eyes on savings, Connecticut shoppers will hit the state's malls looking for the best deals on holiday gifts. Some will begin shopping on Thanksgiving, while many will wait until Black Friday to kick off the holiday season.

Debate over whether to shop on Thanksgiving has been fierce in recent years as Black Friday spills over into Thanksgiving evening; some object to employees having to work that night, while some workers love getting paid double or triple time.

Whether you decide to shop on Thanksgiving or wait until Friday, here's a look at the hours for the major malls in Connecticut. We'll update you with any changes throughout the week. Keep in mind, not all stores will open at these times, such as REI, which closes on Black Friday for its popular #OptOutside campaign.

Connecticut Post Mall, Milford

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m.-12 a.m.
• Black Friday: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Danbury Fair Mall, Danbury

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m.-11:59 p.m.
• Black Friday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

Westfield Trumbull, Trumbull

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m.-11:59 p.m.
• Friday: Select stores will be open from 12 a.m.-5:59 a.m, the rest of the mall will open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Stamford Town Center, Stamford

• Thanksgiving: Closed
• Black Friday: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, Manchester

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m.-12 a.m.
• Black Friday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

Westfarms, West Hartford

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m.-2 a.m.
• Black Friday: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

Clinton Crossing, Clinton
