NORWICH, CT — The Charity Challenge is using a touch free way to give gifts to children and families in need this holiday season. The Charity Challenge.net, an event-based organization, has announced that their Holiday Gift Drive will be taking place virtually region wide.

The organization has created an Amazon Wish List complete with hundreds of children’s names and their special wishes. Up until midnight on Dec. 13, donors can choose a child, choose a gift, and even choose to have the items shipped directly to the Charity Challenge at checkout.

Working in partnership with the Department of Children and Families, TriCircle, Inc. and Bags of Hope, this year’s gift drive will provide holiday gifts to children and families in DCF care throughout Region 3, which is comprised of eastern CT’s 3 DCF offices in Willimantic, Norwich and Middletown.

Donations can be left in the red and green pallet collection boxes and donors may take a plantable seed card to serve as food for thought and a token of appreciation.

Cash/check donations are being accepted. A fund has been created, and once all of the holiday wishes are fulfilled, any leftover resources will be for use throughout the coming year.
