The Gallery at Three Rivers Presents 'Time Passages' By Sean Langlais
Three Rivers Community College announces the exhibition by Sean Langlais, a Norwich-based artist, will run through December 4.

From Three Rivers Community College: Three Rivers Community College is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Sean Langlais, a Norwich-based artist and adjunct professor at Three Rivers. “Time Passages” is an innovative show that juxtaposes large photographs with a solar sound art installation and will run through Monday, December 4 in the Gallery at Three Rivers.
Sean Langlais earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts. His work examines the relationship between nature and technology and uses solar energy, wire, plastic and more to create a full sensory experience. Langlais says, “My recent work involves small sound-creating devices that I design to mimic sounds in nature. The sounds are slightly skewed and have an eerie machine-like reference while retaining a pleasant quality that seduces the viewer into wanting to know more about the source.” His work fills The Gallery at Three Rivers with sound. A full list of works and installations by Langlais can be found at his website, seanlanglais.com.
“Time Passages” is on exhibit at The Gallery at Three Rivers, which is located on the second floor above the main entrance. It is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The exhibit will run through Monday, December 4.
