How Many Norwich Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?
State health officials released data for the first time which shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
NORWICH, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 2,908 Norwich residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
There are 38,768 Norwich residents and 7.5 percent of them have received their first dose. Norwich has 2,719 residents over the age of 75 and 907 of them have received their first dose or 33 percent, according to state health officials.
Since the pandemic began in March, Norwich has reported 3,343 cases and 36 deaths.
