NORWICH, CT — A Norwich doctor recently was fined by the state Medical Examining Board for reportedly not properly securing his prescription pad, writes the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Pain management physician John Paggioli was fined $7,500 by the group, though he denied any wrongdoing. The incident occurred in 2016, and Paggioli has since passed multiple unannounced inspections by the board.
In addition to the prescription pad issue, the board also said Paggioli pre-signed a blank prescription for a patient and had controlled substances in his office which he held for some other patients.
