Norwich Fire Turns Fatal; Pregnant Woman's Death Under Investigation
A fire occurred at 283 Franklin St. in Norwich Thursday, May 2, claiming the life of a woman who was eight months pregnant.
Norwich resident Margarette Mardi, 37Â years of age and eight months pregnant, has died after a fire that occurred earlier Thursday morning.

A woman is in grave condition after a fire occurred at a 283 Franklin St. home in Norwich the morning of Thursday, May 2.
According to NBC Connecticut, the fire began in the bedroom and traveled to the second floor. Firefighters extinguished the fire in approximately 25 minutes.
