Norwich Firefighters Save Person Trapped Under Car

NORWICH, CT — Emergency crews responded to an incident Friday involving a person stuck under a car. According to the Norwich firefighters union, the patient was extricated within five minutes and transferred to local hospital for treatment of injuries.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Avery Street. The man was working on a car in the road and the vehicle shifted, which pinned him underneath, firefighters said.

The Fire Department used specialized extraction equipment, which likely helped save a life in this case.
