Norwich Free Academy Wins 'Battle Of The Fans' Competition

From Connecticut Association of Schools - Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CAS-CIAC): Norwich Free Academy has been selected as the winner of the 2017-18 CAS-CIAC Battle of the Fans competition. Members of the NFA student section will be honored with a plaque and recognition during one of the basketball state championship games at Mohegan Sun Arena March 17-18. The CAS-CIAC Battle of the Fans competition is now in its fourth year and is designed to recognize student cheering sections that demonstrate sportsmanship, school spirit, originality, and student section leadership through student-submitted videos.

CAS-CIAC staff judged the submissions and then followed up with the finalists to get a greater sense of the school’s student section. NFA was chosen among a number of strong contenders including fellow finalist Immaculate High School.
