Father Of Norwich Infant Killed In Dog Attack Sought In Arson: PD

Police are searching for the father of a one-month-old in Norwich who was killed in a dog attack in connection with an arson investigation.

NORWICH, CT — Police are searching for a person of interest in a New London arson incident Tuesday morning, NBC CT reported. The man potentially connected to the arson is the father of a one-month-old infant who died following a dog attack Monday night.

The fire was reported at 3:59 a.m. Tuesday at 10 Rosemary St. Crews arrived to find a fire on the first floor porch that was rapidly spreading to the multi-family home's upper floors.

Four people were taken from the home, and one person was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to NBC CT.

Police are searching for Timothy Settles, 32, as "a person of interest to be questioned with respect to an arson investigation," according to a police statement. Settles is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 240 lbs. and driving a white BMW with New York plates.

The dog attack incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. at a McKinley Avenue home in Norwich.

The infant died due to his injuries, WTNH reported. Police are investigating both incidents.
