CLINTON, CT — A Norwich man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Clinton, according to police. The crash happened on Route 145 in Clinton around 9:30 p.m. on June 20, according to Capt. Joseph Flynn.

A passerby called 911 to report the accident. The motorcycle and operator were found off the road just south of the Clinton Country Club, according to Flynn. Emergency crews responded and attempted lifesaving efforts, Flynn said.

The operator, identified as 27-year-old Brett Salter of Norwich, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Flynn said investigators determined the motorcycle was traveling north on Route 145 and went over the guard rail and off the road.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Clinton Police Ofc. Mario Caruso at 860-669-0451.
