Norwich Man Sentenced In Drug Trafficking Case: Feds
Bryon McClellan was sentenced for his role in a drug trafficking ring.
NORWICH, CT — A Norwich man was sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison for his role in a drug trafficking ring, according to a statement from, Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Bryon McClellan, 33, will also serve 3 years of supervised release.
The case is related to a joint federal, state, and local law enforcement investigation into drug dealing and illegal gun dealing in southeastern Connecticut. The investigation showed the Royshawn Allgood, aka“Boy Roy,” received drugs from others in the ring and then dealt them to users and street-level dealers.
McClellan received distribution quantities of cocaine from Allgood and sold the drug to his own customers.

In March 2019, a Hartford grand jury charged McClellan, Algood, and 22 others with various crimes. In 2019, while McClellan was released on bond, the state police stopped his car and arrested him after they found him in possession of about 33 grams of cocaine.
He later pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine while on pre-trial release.
