Anderson Completes Fundraising For State Rep - 119th District
Bryan Anderson is a Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 119th District (Orange, Milford).
From Bryan Anderson Campaign: ORANGE, CT — Bryan Anderson, Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 119th District (Orange, Milford), has raised funds sufficient to qualify for participation in the CT Citizens Elections Program in advance of the November election. Once final approval is obtained, Anderson’s campaign committee will receive a matching grant of up to $30,000.
“I thank each and every person who sacrificed their personal funds to indicate their support, especially during this unprecedented era of COVID-19. I’m truly grateful. At this early stage of our campaign, we have attracted strong support from throughout Milford and Orange. This bodes well for the future,” Anderson said.
Richard Smith, Milford Democratic Town Chair, stated “I am excited that Bryan has decided to continue his work on behalf of the people of our community. His record of selfless civic duty sets him apart from the others. He has earned the respect and admiration of people on both sides of the aisle and from all walks of life through his thoughtful approach to public policy. I hope all Republicans, Democrats and unaffiliated voters recognize this opportunity to support a candidate that will represent all of us in Hartford and I hope they will wholeheartedly support Bryan for the 119th.”

Jody Dietch, Democratic Town Chair in Orange added, “Bryan has been a tireless advocate for the residents of Milford. We need a strong, solid, and yet independent voice in Hartford to represent us. Our current representation tows the party line. That doesn't help move Connecticut forward. Creative thinking, not constant criticism is what Bryan will bring for the residents of Orange.”
“Our grassroots campaign received 190 contributions totaling nearly $7,200, almost all of which came from Orange and Milford voters, and averaged $38 per individual. A significant majority of our supporters are women. The overall number represents a wide spectrum of supporters. I am particularly proud to have support from Republican, Democratic, and Unaffiliated voters, homemakers, residents with disabilities, retirees, students, as well as, jobless individuals. I take heart in the grassroots support we’ve received, based largely on the relationships I’ve developed over a lifetime of public service, including eight years as Milford alderman”, Anderson concluded.
