The restaurant will donate 20 percent of its revenue from Feb. 9 to the Orange Volunteer Fire Department.
ORANGE, CT — The On the Border restaurant in Orange has teamed up with the Orange Volunteer Fire Department on a fundraising effort on Feb. 9.
The restaurant, located at 220 Indian River Road in Orange, will donate 20 percent of its revenue from Feb. 9 to the fire department to show its support. The restaurant features Tex-Mex cuisine, and all orders whether for food and drinks consumed in the restaurant or picked up as take-out are eligible to go toward the 20 percent donation. Diners must tell the order-taker that they are participating in the Orange Fire Department program.
"We are grateful that On the Border is supporting us, even during challenging times," said Orange Fire Chief Vaughan Dumas. "This is a great way to make a contribution to the Fire Department, take a night off from cooking and support a local restaurant."
