Chip's of Orange Hosts Successful 'Tip-A-Cop' Event
Police Officers were paired with Chip's staff. Customers could tip-a-cop at the end, which will be donated to CT Special Olympics.

From the Town of Orange: The Tip-a-Cop event held at Chip’s of Orange today (6-16-2017) has been deemed a huge success!! Ofc. Carolyn Bailey and Lt. Heather LaRock coordinated the effort with Dina Bajko of Chip’s and Connecticut Special Olympics to make it all happen!
Orange Police officers were paired with the highly skilled Chip’s staff from 9 am to 1 pm. Customers were given the opportunity to “Tip-a-Cop” at the end of the meal, all of which will be donated to Connecticut Special Olympics!
This is the second year that Orange PD teamed up with Chip’s for Special Olympics. Last year they hosted a Cop-on-Top event where officers had to garner donations while being stationed on the building’s roof.

Today’s event raised over $1000.00 for Special Olympics in Connecticut. Several of the officers commented on how hard the Chip’s staff worked and have a new appreciation for those in the food service industry.
