Chip's Restaurant Will Open Its Doors on Thanksgiving to Benefit Critically Ill Children

This is the ninth year the Orange restaurant has held a fundraiser for charity on Thanksgiving.

Chip’s Restaurant in Orange, Connecticut will host its 9th Annual Thanksgiving morning breakfast benefit in support of a local charity. This year, Chip’s will hold the event in conjunction with Kisses from Katie, Inc., a Milford based non-profit that provides resources to critically ill children, their families, and caregivers.

The best pancake restaurant in Connecticut will open its doors from 6-11 AM on Thanksgiving morning, November 27th to help “take the edge off” for critically ill kids. Chip’s is located at 321 Boston Post Road, in Orange, CT. For just $12, guests will receive 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, and coffee or tea. All proceeds from the event will benefit Kisses from Katie, Inc.

A family restaurant since 1966, Chip’s is a local institution and an active community partner. Kisses from Katie, Inc. president and co-founder, Vickie Manning said: “We are honored and privileged to partner with the team at Chip’s. They are a wonderful group and we hope that the kindness and appetites of people in the area will help us raise money to support our services.” Kisses from Katie, Inc. was started in 2009 after the death of Alan and Vickie Manning’s daughter, Katie. The organization is dedicated to “taking the edge off” for families with children stricken by severe health challenges. To date, Kisses from Katie has impacted thousands of young children through resources, tools, and financial support.
