No injuries were reported, however the homeowner was examined for smoke inhalation but was ultimately not treated or transported, according to Dumas.

According to Fire Marshal James Vincent, the cause of the blaze is still under investigation, but improperly discarded smoking materials are believed to play an accidental role in the ignition of the fire. He also noted in a news release the home had working smoke detectors.

The Woodbridge Fire Department and Orange police assisted during the incident.
