Mickey Blake's Cigars Opening Shop In Orange

ORANGE, CT — Mickey Blake's Cigars, which currently has locations in Milford and Southington, is opening a site in Orange.

Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker of Colonial Properties, Inc., announced this week that the cigar shop had signed a five-year lease with landlord John Heo at 510 Boston Post Road in Orange. Heo was represented by Tony Vitti.

The location is a 4,000 square foot flex/warehouse space; Mickey Blake’s Cigars was represented by Kevin Weirsman of Total Realty Services.

Patch reached out to the principals at Mickey Blake's for comment, but has not yet received a reply. The first Mickey Blake's opened in 2011, and it bills itself as a "true, full service tobacconist, according to its website.

"The strong leasing activity we are seeing is indicative of the repositioning that's taking place in the market," said Richetelli. Colonial Properties, Inc., a brokerage which was founded in 1978, is based in Orange, and it handles a full array of commercial and residential real estate deals.

"While many businesses are closing as casualties of the pandemic, there are many new businesses looking to open as CT is seeing an influx of new people moving into the state," Richetelli added.
