Orange Detective Promoted to Sergeant
Twelve-year veteran has received several awards in his career.
Detective Christopher Chiarelli, of the Orange Police Department, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in a swearing-in ceremony held last week.
Chiarelli is a twelve-year veteran of the department, and has been assigned to the Investigative Service Unit since 2005, during which time he also held an assignment with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, according to Orange Police.
Chiarelli holds a B.A. in Justice Studies with a minor in Sociology from Rhode Island College. He has been awarded two Letters of Commendation and three Letters of Recognition from the Department. He was also awarded two medals for Outstanding Service and one medal for Meritorious Service from the Connecticut State Police, according to Orange police.Â
