Pair Of Popular Connecticut TV News Reporters Land New Jobs

Both have worked for NBC Connecticut in the past and now have positions with other stations.

CONNECTICUT — A pair of former NBC Connecticut news reporters separately have landed new jobs at different television stations, the two announced on their social media pages. The news also was reported first by The Laurel.

Isa Gutierrez, a graduate of Northwestern University, says she is leaving NBC Connecticut for a position with NBC in New York City.

Before joining the Connecticut station, she logged hours at the "Today Show," "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" on MSNBC, and "Dateline NBC," among others, according to her bio.

Sabina Kuriakose, who has a host of television credits to her name, recently took a job at WTNH-TV.

The move is a homecoming of sorts for Kuriakose, who worked at NBC Connecticut six years ago before moving over to WTXF-TV in Philadelphia, Pa., and now is back in Connecticut. Additionally, her work has appeared on KTBC-TV in Austin, Texas, and WRBW-TV in Orlando, Fla., among other stations.

Gutierrez and Kuriakose are not the only Connecticut television personalities on the move in recent months.

Jodi Latina was scheduled to return to WTNH on Jan. 3 following a stint as New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart's chief of staff.

Former WTNH anchors Scott McDonnell and Mario Boone also recently left the station for new opportunities, and last spring, longtime NBC Connecticut reporter Hanna Mordoh parted ways with the station, among others.
