TripAdvisor's Top Thing to Do in Orange: PEZ Visitor Center

With a four-star rating and 215 reviews, the PEZ Visitor Center has landed the top spot on TripAdvisor’s Things to Do in Orange list.

It’s TripAdvisor description reads, “Visitor center at Pez Candy Factory features windows to see candy being made, museum with history of Pez, interactive displays, and shopping.”

Admission to the 4,000-square-foot visitor center, located at 35 Prindle Hill Rd., right off Interstate 95 at Exit 41, for children under 3 years old is free, children ages 3 to 12 is $4 and regular admission is $5, according to the PEZ Visitor Center website.

PasationTravellers, of Toronto, Canada, posted a review to TripAdvisor that said, “Enjoy a walk through memory lane and learn about the history of a classic candy! Admission is reasonable (get a $1off coupon from hotels and maps) and includes $2 for shopping (tons of merchandise to choose from and most single PEZ dispensers are $2) and a souvenir lanyard! If you do their game you get to spin to win another PEZ. Fun for the whole family -an hour passed by quickly.”

Visits to the PEZ Visitor Center are self-guided, and the tour includes views through viewing windows of the PEZ production floor, as well as video monitors that detail the full process of how a dispenser is created, as well as how the candy is made, according to the description the PEZ Visitor Center’s website.

TomK_007, of Orange, wrote in a review, “This is a nice museum and gift shop devoted to the world of Pez. Interesting to see the history of Pez and advertisements as well as lots of different types of dispensers. There is a $5 fee to enter, but this gives you a coupon good towards $2 in the store. I recently moved to Orange and have always been a Pez fan, so it is nice to see them do a good job with this visitor center.”

The visitor center’s website description says the PEZ manufacturing area typically isn’t in use on weekends, but views of the facilities can be seen through the windows on all days the tours are open, between all hours of the tours’ operation.

The PEZ Visitor Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.
