Cops: New Britain Woman, 26, Wrong-Way Driver: WATCH
Police say Katelyn T. Knopf was drunk as she drove the wrong way on Route 9, and then onto I-91 South driving north. There's video.
ROCKY HILL, CT — State police say it was around 2:30 in the morning Sunday when they were called to a report of a wrong way driver traveling south in the northbound lane of Route 9 in Rocky Hill.
Connecticut State Police from Troop H say they found 26-year-old Katelyn T. Knopf driving on I-91 South "traveling north in the southbound lane in the left lane of three. Troopers were able to stop" her vehicle.

Police said she failed sobriety tests and was arrested.
Knopf was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, driving the wrong way on a highway, and two counts of drinking while driving.

Knopf, of 62 Pierremount Ave., in New Britain, was given a $1,500 bail. She's due in court April 2.
